This is an ESL (English as a Second Language) class for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

The purpose of this course is to develop the students’ skills and understanding in reading, writing, listening and speaking in English.

This course also focuses on developing the students’ skills and knowledge in their core content area classes.

This is achieved by coordinating with content area teachers in order to ensure that the students receive the appropriate academic support.

The students will learn vocabulary, concepts and strategies that will allow them to become more successful in their other academic classes (i.e. Social Studies and Science).
